Daily Activities:

The day starts with the stars of our program, the horses. While the morning is still cool we groom, tack and ride. Each child is closely supervised and instructed on proper handling, grooming, caring for and riding horses. The riding portion is taught by accomplished National Level equestrians. Our horses, many of which are retired world and national level show horses, are calm, well groomed and give lessons to children and adults on a regular basis. The children are divided into small groups and can work on riding skills or enjoy a leisurely trail ride on the 128 acre farm. Snacks and water breaks are given throughout the morning. When we are finished riding, we break for lunch.

As the heat of the day progresses, we move on to team building activities with horse knowledge, games, water obstacle course, wading and exploring in Raccoon Creek, nature walks and crafts such as making t-shirts or photo albums. The day ends with a cool treat!

Rain or shine the fun never stops! If we have to move indoors, our indoor riding arena allows the days events to take place in a dry, safe environment.

Friendships are made and self-confidence abounds as children master their skills with these gentle and beautiful animals. The laughs, smiles, friendships and memories made are endless.
